The funds received City Council council even as there have been rumblings to eliminate the federal funding from coming from Washington D.C.
It’s the same amount as the current fiscal year.
“We’re very happy that the funding for the projects weren’t eliminated in the federal fiscal year 18, but in the FY19 the Trump administration’s budget eliminates the CDBG grant funding and the HOME program, and the loss of this funding will be very detrimental to cities like Fall River,” said Director of Community Development Michael Dion, the agency that manages the funds.
