Fall River, MA – Best Places to Live in the U.S. in 2023October 16, 2023
The Zoning Board of Review cleared the way last week for two major housing projects and one mixed-use plan that will add another 851 units of market-rate housing in the city, including the conversion of a former Catholic church.
The two largest projects, the Flint Mills at 135 Alden St., and Wyoming Mills at 110 Chace St., were approved for 405 units and 400 units respectively. They are both being redeveloped by The Goldman Group of Boston.
Both market-rate projects will set aside 20% of the units for residents 55 and older, according to Kenneth Fiola, executive vice president of the Bristol County Economic Development Consultants, whose agency is a consultant for The Goldman Group.
