Despite the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, economic and business development plans for the city remain on track, according to a speech delivered Wednesday morning by Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan.
The mayor delivered his State of Business comments remotely via Zoom to a group of local business leaders.
Both Coogan’s address and a State of the City speech being delivered Thursday afternoon by New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell are being presented by One SouthCoast Chamber as “Two Great Mayors, Two Great Chamber Events.”
A Fall River mayor normally delivers a State of the City address in March and a State of Business speech in August.
