In 1978, concerned businessmen and women established the private, nonprofit Jobs for Fall River, Inc. as its “one-stop shop” for business and economic development. Jobs for Fall River, Inc.’s key objectives are job creation, job retention and the expansion of the City’s tax base. The office maintains a professional staff that is organized into four main areas – finance, business development and marketing, business retention and project administration. In recent years Jobs for Fall River, Inc. d/b/a Bristol County Economic Development Consultants’ (BCEDC) has expanded its service area to include all of Bristol County. BCEDC helps businesses evaluate the many advantages of locating in Fall River and the surrounding towns, offering aggressive incentive programs including low interest financing, tax exemptions, employee recruitment and training services, and site selection assistance. We also provide construction and technical support in areas ranging from permitting to international trade assistance to workforce and market rate housing development. BCEDC remains dedicated to assisting businesses meet their objectives while fostering economic growth within the region.
