It’s been an untold number of years since the appointed Fall River Port Authority has met, but a new committee has been assembled and will meet officially for the first time on Tuesday, making the way to restore the Fall River Line Pier group that has been dormant for at least the past two years.
Assistant City Clerk Ines Leite who has been on the job for 12 years, and said they haven’t met since her tenure began and research by the Clerk’s Office came up with no answers.
“We have looked in the past and we couldn’t find anything. I know that there were members there whose term expired in the ‘90’s,” said Leite.
Over the summer Mayor Paul Coogan appointed Michael Lund, Patrick Norton, Dawn Saurette, John Medeiros and Merrill Cordeiro to the Fall River Port Authority.
