The city received a $969,100 grant to improve the water supply system in the city’s three business parks in the North End. The cash will let the city connect the water mains on Commerce Drive to the main on Innovation Way.
The new main, which will measure 3,200 linear feet, will create a loop system in the industrial park and should increase water pressure to businesses located in the newer sections of the development, city officials say.
The money is part of the MassWorks Infrastructure Program Grant announced Monday in Plymouth by Jay Ash, secretary of the state office of Housing and Economic Development.
